Where are our clothes made? How do they get to us? Where do they travel? Where do they end up when we are done using them? Through creative games, activities and constructions, we discover the answers to the questions mentioned above, approach the concept of sustainability, and become aware of our share of individual responsibility for the future of our planet. Taking our cue from the large-scale outdoor installation “Return to Sender” by the African art collective NEST, we trace a piece of clothing’s long journey from the country where it was manufactured to the SNFCC, where it ended up in our hands. At the end of the program, we chose among the fabrics left behind for us by the artists who created the installation and came up with our artistic creations!
